Will the iPhone 5 Smartphone adopts Google wallet?
Google's Nexus S smartphone comes with the Google Wallet platform. The question is whether Apple will put the same platform on the iPhone 5?
As quoted by TechRadar, “the Apple iPhone 5 may adopt Google Wallet. Provided, Executive Chairman of Google Inc. Eric Schmidt permit Googleto immerse the software on products made in other manufacturing companies.”
So, what if Apple is developing a platform technology based on Near Field Communications (NFC)? If it happens, Schmidt said, Google will look for ways to integrate their new payment infrastructure. According to him, NFC-based chip will be a requirement that must exist in the mobile devices within the next few years.
Within the next 12 months, the payment system by pressing the button and pay (tap and pay) will be more and more users. He predicts more than a third of shops and restaurants will accept payment through mobile devices.
NFC technology allows devices to simplify payment transactions, data exchange and connection through touch. Armed with technology that was built in 2004's, smartphones and tablet computers can be used to conduct payment transactions by credit card.
Speaking at the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival, Schmidt said Google would bring the technology to Apple. The words of former chief executive officer of Google was developing a rumor that Google says will put the NFC chip in the iPhone 5.
Meanwhile, other manufacturers like LG and Sony Ericsson have admitted that they will adopt NFC chips into their mobile phone Android-based.
