Acer Iconia A100 and A500 Tablet gets Android ICS update
After many vendors who claim that their products will be provided updates to Ice Cream Sandwich, it seems Acer did not want to miss. Both tablets are owned by Acer, the Acer Iconia Tab A100/101 and the Acer Iconia A500/501, reportedly will soon get these updates in mid-January 2012.

This news also allows for updates to the Android 4.0 for the other tablet products, such as the Motorola Xoom and the Asus Transformer. According to product manager for the Android, all the tablets that are operated using Honeycomb OS now supposed to be able to also run the Ice Cream Sandwich.

However, differences in the OS code which is very large it is quite doubtful, Honeycomb (2.3) while the Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). It is emphasized also when the device is capable of running a custom UI, then the new ICS OS will be compatible.
