Acer Iconia Tab A500 will get ICS in April
Info Tech - Acer New Zealand Division has confirmed that Acer Iconia Tab A500 Android tablet will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in April. But the announcement was made directly to the users in Australia and New Zealand, so it releases for other states remains unclear.
For the newer tablet, the A200, already have ICS in the week after the tablet has been sold for several months. Both of the tablet has Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset base and some hardware features that are similar, making some A500 users expect updates in the near future.
“Good news, everyone! We have just received confirmation from the Acer headquarters that the Iconia Tab A500 will get the Ice Cream Sandwich in April,” Similarly, a posting on Acer New Zealand Facebook page. Date details have not been written.
