According to information from 9to5Google (Via StatCounter), Android surpassed Windows in combined systems, the desktop, laptop, tablets and Smartphones, thus becoming the world’s most popular operating system.
The figure is still quite narrow, only 0.02% of traffic. Windows holds a 37.91% and Android marks a 37.93%.
This achievement for the company was reached in last February and according to the Mountain View:
It marks a milestone in the history of technology and the end of an era. It also marks the end of Microsoft as world leader as an operating system
Microsoft had the lead since 1980 and Android only 5 years ago I had a 2.4% of global use.
Anyway, and of course, Windows maintains its leadership in regards to computers desktop and laptops, with an 84% of machines running this system.
The above only reaffirms the current mobile world and where we’re heading.
