Apple patented a wireless charging system long distance

Still active drama about the future and the design of the iPhone 8, but at the same time also arise new leaks that envision a little bit about the future for technology that could be implemented on Apple devices.

It has been reported the existence of a patent, registered in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, under the US 2017/0117754 A1 number and the name of Wireless Charging and Communications Systems With Dual-Frequency Patch Antennas, where, as their description suggests, a technology of antennas could be used to charge Apple devices.

The patent says that the antenna would transfer energy via microwave frequencies (or other frequencies), while that could withstand “millimeter wave communications” on iPhone and iPad models.

The patent was registered in 2015, but has just been published, which raises the expectation of its future release.
