Facebook Messenger will receive emojis supporting diversity

Facebook has announced that it will launch a new pack of emojis in Messenger with new designs focusing on diversity, with options for tone skin and gender.

Available in the messaging application emojis previously only in yellow, but now we can choose five skin tones and the genre of different professions; now the surfer or the police will not be only men. This is the result of the proposal to Google for making icons that represent the professional woman.

Other options include the selection of hair – now integrating the colorful – and also gender neutral for those who do not identify with any particular.

When finally released the update we will be able to select a skin tone and a default hair color, so that we are not picking them whenever we use an emoji.

The update will be available at some point thisweek, for both iOS and Android.
