Makes some months that LG announced the G5, its phone modular with which thought revolutionize the scene mobile. After a successful initial sales, the G5 has not been able to lift flight and has led that LG once again restructure the division of phones.
A Korea Times report indicates that LG created an office of management of projects (PMO) in order to create a new impetus in the cell phone business. The PMO will be directed by Cho Juno, head of mobile division, who will be accompanied by two executives more to develop products and generate sales and marketing strategies.
The G5 did not sell as expected LG and the Korean manufacturer has recognized openly in this announcement. According to analysts, during the second quarter of the year are sold 2.2 million of phones of the 3 million that is expected. LG has suffered the brunt of the Chinese market, in which manufacturers such as Huawei or Xiaomi attack with everything to gain space in the field of cell phones.

The news of a restructuring because of mobile phones is not something new. Almost two months ago, LG decided to make moves to relocate staff in other divisions of the company.
A source close to the company said that it was still early to say that LG will leave aside its mobile division, which must however perform maneuvers if they don’t want the same thing happens to Sony.
