That it is far the time in which public transport is automate with autonomous vehicles, but nothing is further from reality taking into account advances in technology and advances in vehicles may seem. In this case is a new story about the start of testing with an autonomous vehicle – no driver – and in this case is a bus called Harry’s company Oxbotica.
As soon we have a bus that you will walk in tests until 2019 and hundreds of users will be in charge of test this autonomous vehicle. In principle is expected to be ready within a couple of years, but it is normal for testing to start now since they have technology and adjustments of the small bus to point. Harry will be used as a means of transport within the Greenwich peninsula, being can reach speeds of up to 16 km/h, four passengers and will circulate along 3.2 km on the Bank of the River Thames, close to the famous 02 Arena.

This vehicle does not have no steering wheel or brake pedal, as they explain in the average BBC and will be guarded by five cameras and three lasers to they will facilitate circulation to not cause accidents, but inside at least during testing, shall be a qualified person who can stop it if necessary. Such vehicles are becoming more frequent and it is normal that such tests continue doing but it would be interesting to increase the number of users who can climb, although this does not believe to be problem.
