Man says it designed the iPhone in 1992

For those who are immersed in the world of technology, you know that one of the recurring themes is that of patents and that many actors they accuse each other, pointing to theft and illegal uses of these documents to create products. It is what happens at present with a native of Florida, United States, named Thomas Ross, who claims to be the inventor of the iPhone.

According to Ubergizmo, it details the person concerned filed a lawsuit against Apple for USD$ 10 billion, since assures that he created designs for a device very similar to the team of the company from Cupertino, which went on sale in 2007 and revolutionized the industry.

Beyond the indictment, Ross has the patent to support his thesis, in which there is a wireless equipment, which has with a 3.5 floppy drive a cellular antenna, an operating system MS-DOS as well as a physical keyboard. The strange thing is that judging from the sketches, not is so clear how the U.S. company “stole” the idea Florida citizen.

Despite these inconsistencies, Ross requires, in addition to the amount designated before, 1.5% of the royalties from sales of Apple, which would be nothing more and nothing less than USD 3 to USD$ 4 billion annually.

Anyway, the case seems t be nothing more than an anecdote, since patents are not validated, since registration rates, were not cancelled at the time so the Office of patents and trademarks of the United States declared them as “abandoned” in 1995.
