Nexus 6 will receive Android 7.1.1 Nougat in January

Not that long ago Google released Android 7.1.1 Nougat for its Pixel and Nexus devices, which is a compilation of version 7.1. This introduced shortcuts of applications, a low mode, support for Daydream VR mode, among other innovations.

The Nexus 6, being the oldest of the extinct family of devices, also would receive Android 7.1.1 Nougat. However, was rare that the update took more in get that to others devices Nexus, by what Android Police decided to contact to Google and this was what answered the company:

Unfortunately, we found a bug in the last minute which was specific to the Nexus 6, which has caused the delay in the deployment of the OTA 7.1.1. Since then we’ve fixed the problem and we will be deploying an update at the beginning of January.

Rinsing once and for all the delayed update, Google cited a bug which only arose in the Nexus 6 – perhaps by be a device with little more than two years of antiquity, although that did not mean that their users Nougat will remain without Android 7.1.1.

However, this well could be the latest update that will reach the Nexus 6, because remember that Google only provides support to their devices with two-year-old.
