Qualcomm Announces the Snapdragon 820 chip for the Tango of Google platform optimization

Project Tango

3 weeks ago we met the first smartphone that has official Google Tango platform support. Augmented reality which is capable of mapping in 3D interior space where you are and that it will serve you all kinds of professionals as well as users who will face other kinds of experiences.

PHAB 2 Pro has in its interior to the Snapdragon 652, which contains several optimizations at the level of software that are fully compliant to Tango. Qualcomm has announced at MWC Shanghai which is expanding Tango support to its chip ship logo Snapdragon 820, while that for the next series 800 and 600 Snapdragon SoCs.

Qualcomm has stated in this regard:

“As we have seen, the Snapdragon 652 offers several advantages right for Tango, which may include a greater precision, collection of data from several streams, processing efficient without the need to use external SoCs and technology processing of sensor and leading camera in the sector. It is now when the Snapdragon 820 chip offers the same virtues, while the added the benefit of better technology with Snapdragon 800 series, between which may include higher performance and lower power consumption.

The fact is that all processors Snapdragon 600 and 800 series share the same advantages in the architecture needed to provide Tango experiences in greater range mobile formats. Integrated in a same chip, Snapdragon processors components are uniquely equipped to process the form data simultaneously to five sensors using Tango (gyroscope, accelerometer, and three camera sensors, which includes two new specific to Tango: a motion detector and a depth sensor camera) “.”
