One of the great disadvantages in the use of a smart watch is precisely the limitations of your screen, something that makes it impossible sometimes to show the information that a developer wants to and even complicated, on many occasions, the use of an application due to the need of having to interact with its small screen. This has been precisely the problem that have tried to solve in the Carnegie Mellon University of the United States and, after several months of work and research, appear to have solved.
With the aim of making easier the handling of this type of wearables, a team of engineers and designers have managed to develop a system whereby the own smartwatch by carrying out by own hand gestures can be managed. According to statements made by Andrés Ramos Rojas, Member of the research team:
We wanted to make gestures that might not be uncomfortable while controlling a smart watch.

This new system for an intelligent clock control is based on the information obtained through sensors that is equipped with the device, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes as well as in machine learning. At the moment and in testing, we used a standard Samsung Galaxy Gear able to recognize five different gestures made with the hand where the own clock is located.
