While the saga of the sale to Verizon, with reduction in price included, follows its course, the guys at Yahoo are still a focus of news if we talk about hacker attacks, theft of accounts and others. Through 2016, the company has recognized that in the past, suffered the theft of data on one side more than 1,000 millions of accounts and on the other hand 500 million, something he did severely shake the sale to Verizon. But also confirmed that he had collaborated with the NSA to offer free to all the accounts of their users. Will not yet, there’s more.
Marisa Meyer, CEO of YAhoo
Yahoo has confirmed that more than 32 million accounts were affected by another attack, which the company has not been able to put in the time, an attack that confirms safety of Yahoo engineers not finished the race, since not needed passwords to access accounts, but that only made use of the same software that uses Yahoo to create cookies to create fraudulent cookies and cheat the system with the user name.
Again Yahoo has not directly informed about this new attack, but has kept her mouth shut until the rumours have started to be published and the press has been in contact with the company, which offered an information with very little detail and no just data that might explain the latest security problem that the company has suffered in recent years.
It is very likely that this is not the latest scandal surrounding the company once it completed sale to Verizon. Verizon does not want to have any problem in the future and changed some parts of the agreement that the company take care of possible sanctions that could receive the American authorities who are investigating these attacks combined with the negligence of the company on security issues.
