900 million Androids would be vulnerable to failure QuadRooter

Another day, another security flaw in Android serious. Some weeks that the Android community to worry by the exploit Godless, capable of attacking the 90% of the worldwide user base, is a new threat that looks just as serious or even more, thanks to a series of vulnerabilities, called QuadRooter, which put at risk to 900 million terminals.

According to an exclusive report from BBC News, Check Point security firm would have come up with a set of four vulnerabilities, generated from a security flaw in the architecture of the Qualcomm chipset present in the majority of devices Android in the world, and which would allow the attacker access root to the terminal, allowing the possibility of even steal or delete all of its contents.

Michael Shaulov, head of the mobile division of Check Point, revealed this finding in the framework of the Def with Security Conference 2016 in Las Vegas. At the same time granted an interview with the British media, so that to date this vulnerability would have not been exploited by computer criminals, but the gap is open and vulnerable terminals list is quite wide, including the following:

But the pace of distribution of their security updates is very irregular, so it is recommended to download a special application to detect the presence of this bug.
