App Store rejects apps with references to its price in the name

As opposed to the policies of app stores like Play Store and shop Windows, the App Store has been stricter regarding the name of the application, since considers inappropriate any allusion to their prices on it.

Since not all developers have taken seriously this policy, Apple has decided to reject the publication of applications containing “free” label on your behalf or mention its price or discount for promotion, according to VentureBeat.

When you try to publish an application that does not comply with the new policy of the App Store developer is notified with the following message:

Free_Apps

The name of your application, icons, screenshots and previews to be displayed in the App Store include references to the price of your application, which is not considered part of the metadata for these objects.

Apple requests that to promote an application became free or that its price was discounted it should appeal to the description. On this, the company confirmed changes in the app store policy.

In terms of applications with references to its price in the name and that they are already published, is ignored if efforts to remove them from the App Store.
