Google Docs and Sheets accepted Add-ons and plugins

Google Docs

Although the Queen of the office suites is Office, is true that over the years this place has faltered because of the arrival of other suites like OpenOffice or Google Docs and Sheets development.

The famous Google applications in the cloud have made that many users begin to write in the cloud and to abandon Microsoft Office. But many are reluctant to do this due to the performance of Office and the benefits of Google Docs. One of the main problems of Google Docs and Sheets is that not allows to use Add-ins or plugins that improve or complement other programs to make Office or OpenOffice.

But this workhorse seems that Google Docs will win it well within little service to support add-ins and third-party plugins will be updated. This will mean that we can connect our account with other services such as database or CRM’s, we can also make use of OCR programs and electronic signatures.

Google is currently working with eight developers who are creating specific plug-ins for Google Dosc and Google Sheets, but has released the development code so that any developer can do any add-on or plugin. This is totally free and anyone can make the plug-in you want as currently happens in Google Chrome or apps from the Play Store.

The news although it does not directly affect the end user if it is that important because first Google Docs may be the height of Microsoft Word without therefore having to pay a fee or lose benefits. Also the installation of these plug-ins will be online, that is, on any mobile phone, tablet or computer in which we use our account can have add-ins that you install.

It seems that the future of Google Docs and Sheets begins to shine, or at least be more interesting than was so far don’t you think?
