Facebook adds filters type Snapchat to your photos and videos

Snapchat is a monster that has a surprising number of active users each month. Perhaps why not we surprised that Instagram has tried to emulate one of your options with Stories or that Facebook has announced a new option to give more life to your photos and videos.

To celebrate the start of the Olympic Games, Facebook released a feature that adds filters to your photos and videos in a way very similar to Snapchat. You can add flags or paint your face with the colors of your country to support the Olympic fair.

A message at the top of the News Feed where you are invited to take a photo to commemorate the Olympic Games to open Facebook. Interestingly this option only is available for those who are in Brazil and have an iPhone.

Facebook has also enabled it in Canada with iOS and Android devices. We don’t know if Facebook will release the option to more countries, although we know that this test would be the gateway to a future implementation of stickers to try to steal market to Snapchat.
