Moto G5 Plus at first sight #MWC17

We were playing with the new challenge of bike in the range middle, one that has the mission to reconquer a market that increasingly seems to be being dominated by Chinese brands with good specifications at low price. Already we’ve had leaks of this terminal and its presentation came only to confirm its design and Interior.

These are the specifications of the equipment:

  • 5.2 screen 1090p inch
  • Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 32 GB of expandable storage via microSD
  • 12-megapixel back camera
  • 5 megapixel front camera
  • 3000mAh battery

The first thing that draws attention to its predecessor is the use of materials. Now, instead of plastic we have a curved metal back, although we must say it, are not feeling very well. The sensation that leaves us is somewhat bitter, because, as it was in the case of the G5 LG last year, despite effectively being metallic, its coating makes it feel very plastic.

The team, with its layer of nearly pure Nougat-based Android feels very fast and intuitive. So characteristic of Moto gestures are still present, such as turning the computer to activate the camera, and more. This adds much to the experience, although we should always take that with caution, since we do not know if their behavior will be held on time after a few months of regular use.

The camera feels fast and with very good colour reproduction, though booth lights easier this task and we insist, in the ‘real world’ that can drastically change the behavior of the sensor.

At the moment do not sit as a great innovation and the evolutionary part is logical, just wait until it reaches our hands to prove it with more calm and give final conclusions. We only know that the competition in the mid-range segment is getting stronger and the appearance of brands such as Nokia and Chinese manufacturers do not make easy life to a team.

With a price of EUR €279, will have news in the first weeks of March to learn about its release date in our region and its cost in the different markets of Latin America.
