Samsung announced the availability of Secure Folder for your devices Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, rather than a safe folder, an environment isolated from the system in which you can store documents, images, and even applications, all protected from unwanted users.
Unlike other applications that share the aim of protecting certain content, Secure Folder complemented with KNOX to improve his defense. It also allows to choose an authentication method to protect content using a PIN-code, pattern, password or biometric verification.

The Secure Folder to function as a place where the content will remain encrypted also means that it will be isolated from the system. Thus, if an application is visible in the drawer of applications, everything you do it within the folder not can be seen outside it.
In order to protect your information even better, users can change the name and icon of the Secure Folder, as well as hide it from the drawer of applications using the quick settings panel.
When it is necessary to migrate to another Secure Folder-compatible Samsung phone, its cloud storage service easier to export from your configuration and only with the Samsung account of the user in question.
Secure Folder is now available for download in Galaxy Apps, for the time being only compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 teams edge with Android 7.0 Nougat onwards.
