Nintendo fever you notice with the release of Pokémon Go halfway through 2016, a proposal that would raise up their sedentary lifestyle more than one fan of the franchise. Its popularity was such that a month available in the App Store, the game developed by Niantic got the 100 million downloads.
Thanks to Apple, we now know that Pokémon Go, far from being with the memories of the players, was the most downloaded app from App Store in 2016, a phenomenon that began in iOS and eventually came to other operating systems.
In the list of 10 most downloaded iOS applications, there is another game that sounds familiar from the Nintendo family, which was downloaded 40 million times in its first four days: Super Mario Run. In the top 10 are also Prism, Reigns, Procreate, Lumino City, Sweat With Kayla and djay Pro.
Currently, the App Store has with 2.2 million of applications, a figure that increased a 20% on the year previous.
This is not over for Nintendo and 2017 could well be another year where dominate the list of most downloaded applications. Let us remember that it has plans to launch more games for mobile devices, including Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem.
